Displaying Comparisons

Displaying Budget Comparison

Budget Comparison can also be displayed in a way similar to that described in Displaying Auxiliary Rows. To display this comparison, select accounts using the context menu, which you bring up by right–clicking within the marked area, and selecting the Show Details option, then on Budget Comparison. To display a comparison with all accounts, use the icon (Budget Comparison). Close this display for select accounts by again right–clicking the marked area and choosing Hide details, or for all accounts clicking on the icon Collapse Details in the Details panel.

 

Displaying Historical Comparisons with Budgeted Values

This function enables you to display values for comparison (in Actual, Forecast and Budgeted values) with planned historical values for the selected accounts. In the main work area mark an account, right–click on it, and from the context menu select Show details and then Historical Budget, or click on the roll–down menu in the tool bar, and then from the context menu select Analytical Accounts, Historical Budget.

 

Displaying Historical Comparisons with Actual Values

This function enables you to compare differences (in Actual, Forecast and Budgeted values) with actual historical values for the selected accounts. In the main work area mark an account, right–click on it, and from the context menu select Show details and then Historical Actual, or click on the roll–down menu in the tool bar, and from the context menu select Analytical Accounts, Historical Actual.

 

Displaying Historic Difference Comparisons / Delta

This function enables you to compare differences (in Actual, Forecast and Budgeted values) with historical values (in Actual, Forecast and Budgeted). In the main work area mark an account, right–click on it, and from the context menu select Show details and then Delta Historical Comparison, or click on the roll–down menu in the tool bar, and from the context menu select Analytical Accounts, Delta Historical Comparison.

Colouring Cells

To colour cells, click on the colour icon in the tool bar of the Dataroom working section. Then choose from one of the colours offered in the context menu.

  • Standard (default) view – displays data in the statement according to default settings
  • Time view – uses colour to differentiate Historical, Forecast and Budgeted data
  • Cell type view – uses colour to differentiate by calculation method for the given item.
  • Input view – uses colour to differentiate how the data was entered into the statement, i.e. whether the data was imported manually or whether the data for a given value came from one of the formulas or consolidation.

 

Hiding Details

To hide, mark a specific account in the main work area, right–click, and then either select Collapse Details in the context menu or click on the Collapse Details icon in the tool bar. You can hide the details for selected accounts or all of them, by choosing All Accounts or Selection when you click on the arrow.
